Children are not only more likely to listen to a story being read with animated illustrations. The illustrations help them imagine the story being read, the animations set the mood and soothe the

Whimsies are stories for your children that have one goal – to provide you with access to content that is interesting as well as developing.

Children use the Internet – this is a fact. Even a two-year-old knows how to use a phone or tablet. And he does it willingly – watches YouTube videos, plays games, plays games. The Internet is addictive and sometimes it’s hard to tear the toddler away from the screen even for a moment.

Most parents, therefore, sooner or later face the same problem – not only the quality of the available content is often poor, but also its vastness…. The result? Problems with focusing attention, constant agitation.

THIS IS NO ACCIDENT. This is how content on the Internet is built, this is how social media is created. The goal – to draw us into using it for as long as possible. And they do just that through constant stimulation. 30 seconds of video, 180 characters in a post. We are supposed to watch as much as possible. We are adults, we can say – stop. enough. But children? They are just learning. They won’t say – enough.

So we limit access, try to interest children in something else. All often to the great displeasure of our kids. Does it have to be this way?

Tablet, phone and Internet are tools. They can be fought against, but isn’t it better to use them?

That’s why Whimsies were created. Illustrated, multimedia stories for your child. Engaging tales with animated pictures will make it easy for you to grab your child’s attention and read together before bedtime. And during the day, if you no longer have the strength to read the same fairy tale for the twentieth time – turn on the voiceover.

Whimsies help you to read and spend time together. Children will not only be more eager to listen to the read story. You can then talk about the stories, look for squirrels in the pictures together and count the stars. Whimsies mean more time together.

Whimsies promote focus. The animations are calm, have their own rhythm and help to calm down and imagine the stories being read.

Whimsies are smart. We rewrote classic fairy tales, not only to make their language more understandable and entertaining with rhymes. The characters make decisions, learn and change. They teach what is important in life and encourage you to think. When you turn on the voiceover the sentences you read highlight. Studies show that just looking at the text helps you learn and reinforces the habit of reading.

Whimsies – your tool to support development and attention in children!

Before we tell you how we write fairy tales, let us tell you WHY we write them.

The goal of Whimsies is to create fairy tales that are both interesting and developing. And this is not an easy art! It’s easy to get children’s attention – it has to be colorful, loud and fast. But is it developing? This is no longer taken into account.

That’s why we reached for the classics of fairy tales – the Polish ones. Fairy tales about Sleeping Beauty, Hansel and Gretel or Cinderella are everywhere. So why not look at fairy tales of others? About the Fern Flower, the Glass Mountain or the Table Set. Our folklore is full of wonderful tales! They just need a little help! And that’s what we do.

We update each fairy tale linguistically – we make sure the language fits the modern reader. We improve the structure, we take care of the motivation of the characters. Nothing happens without a cause and our choices have consequences. We make sure that the fairy tale carries a lesson. Jack in Fern Flower is brave, wise and patient We also add rhymes, easy on the ears and simple to remember

Scarecrows and tales, evils made up

everything’s going just to give up!

Jack

And when the story is coherent and understandable, the rhymes polished and we put the final dot – we are ready to draw. It’s the drawings that make the Whimsies attract attention!

Whimsies are available in different forms and you can use them in many ways.

EBOOK – is the simplest form. read a fairy tale and enjoy the beautiful illustrations. Download and read – on your phone or tablet, on android and on iOS

App – in this form you will have access to all the possibilities of Whimsies! Animated illustrations, voiceover, music, games, quizzes and crosswords! Available just like an ebook – for android and iOS systems.

It’s a known fact that focusing attention is difficult, but especially today it’s very important. Studies show that our ability to focus attention is under constant attack – the Internet almost encourages us to keep clicking and discovering new content. Videos are now only a dozen seconds long, click, click, click. Maybe adults can handle it, but children? Constant distraction, searching for something new – but is it better?

That’s why we prepared Whimsies to attract attention – we richly illustrate and animate them, so that the child can not only listen to the story, but also see what happens and changes in the pictures. However, we don’t overdo it, we don’t attack with loud music, we just catch the eye and arouse interest.

Instead, we try to make the illustrations contain a lot of detail – you can talk about the pictures, look for details and interesting facts.

Next to the drawings there is always text – children can follow what we read or what the narrator says.

Our fairy tales contain lessons and engaging illustrations full of details. You can talk about the characters, explain their behavior to your child and show the world depicted in the illustrations. However, this is just one element.

Did you know that just displaying the text allows the child to get used to it and helps in learning to read later? That’s why in our tales you will always find both text and illustrations.

In addition, we want the Tales of Whimsy to be available wherever possible – on your phone, tablet, TV.
